Description: We are a volunteer collaboration committed to offering no-cost adult continuing education on intellectually stimulating topics. We offer the courses at Livingston County libraries, primarily the Howell Carnegie Library and the Hartland Cromaine Library. History: When ACE begin in 2006, classes were offered at the Parker Campus of the Lansing Community College. A small fee was charged for the classes. In 2008 when the economic went down, enrollment decreased. In August 2010 we began offering our classes free of charge at the libraries. This increased enrollment. We have a mailing list of about 250 students. The courses are advertised by the libraries and we have also begun sending out a monthly newsletter to our e-mailing list. At this time we are seeking additional instructors so that we can increase our course offerings.
