Girls on the Run is a healthy living program for girls ages 8-13. Our mission is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.

Description:
Girls on the Run is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Our curricula address all aspects of girls' development - their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Our girls meet twice a week for eight weeks and train for a 5K run/walk while experiencing lessons in goal setting, nutrition, building relationships and much more. Our program is offered in the fall, the spring and the summer.

History:
Girls on the Run of Southeastern MI was established in 2001. GOTR Se MI serves Washtenaw, Livingston, Lenawee, Monroe and Jackson counties and is an affiliate of the national program, Girls on the Run International.
